Summer Glau
Glau's first TV credit was in a guest spot as ballerina in a 2002 episode of the television show Angel. She was spotted by director JossWhedon who then made her the character River Tam in the critically-acclaimed TV series Firefly. The role was played for the feature film sequel of Serenity. Glau was previously auditioned for the Power Ranger role (White Wild Force Ranger, Alyssa Erile) in Power Rangers Wild Force. She was ultimately defeated by Jessica Rey before meeting Whedon. She had a small role in the movie Sleepover, in which she played high school senior Shelly. She also appeared on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" ", and season two of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the girlfriend of Jeremy Erhart). In 2006, Glau played Tess Doerner as a paranoid schizophrenia returnee in season two's premiere episode of The 4400, and became the main character from season three onwards. She was also in the horror comedy film Mammoth. Glau was in The Initiation of Sarah, an ABC Family TV movie. Glau played Cameron Phillips an infiltration unit of the Terminator returned to Skynet in order to safeguard John Connor (and Sarah Connor). The seventh episode of the series, "The Demon Hand" included several scenes where Glau, in character as Cameron, dances in ballet. In the second season's episode "Allison From Palmdale" (season 2), Glau played Allison Young who was Cameron's human doppelganger. Glau has also guest-starred as herself in a 2009 episode of the CBS situation comedy The Big Bang Theory
