Zoe Saldana was born on the 19th of June, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her father is Dominican as is her mother Puerto Rican. Her mother raised her mother who lived in Queens. As she reached the age of 10 years old, she and her parents relocated to the Dominican Republic. They lived in the Dominican Republic for seven more years. Zoe was able to establish an interest in performance dancing while she was living in Dominican Republic. The prestigious ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy Zoe learned both ballet and various other dance styles. Not only did her training offer a great outlet for young people who are enthusiastic and active but it also proved to be an excellent preparation to the beginning of her professional acting career. Zoe as well as her family and parents relocated to America when she was 17. Zoe discovered a love of dance, and was attracted to theatre. Zoe has not only held her own in major motion picture projects, but has also earned the respect and praise from industry insiders such as Jerry Bruckheimer and Steven Spielberg and other actors/actresses including Tom Hanks, Bernie Mac, Keira Knightley, Ashton Kutcher, Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom. Many of Zoe's co-stars and producers feel that sky's not her only limit. Next up, Deutch will re-team with writer Katie Silberman for their second romantic comedy, Most Dangerous Game. Deutch had previously worked with Silberman on the Netflix smash Set It Up 2018.
