April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US She is one of a small set of women who've been awarded medals at several Olympics. Alix Kallineman will play alongside April Ross Tokyo to win her third gold medal during the next couple of days. Ross is determined to earn more than her initial Olympic medal. It could be the last chance she'll ever have when she turns 39. However, she's confident that the top awards are within reach. Ross stated to NBC Boston that he believes If they can play at their absolute most effective, and even play an excellent game, they'll win the gold. In addition, I'm hoping to have the chance to have luck. Ross was born August 22, 1982, on the outskirts of Costa Mesa California. She lived there with her family. Ross participated in various activities while at Newport Harbor High School. She played basketball and ran the track as well as her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. In the last sport she clearly stood out. While in high school she was a middle blocker outside hitter and setter on the volleyball court per her college bio. The effort was recognized with her being named the 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. She also captured the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Year trophy for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been doing what they do as of 2017. However, Ross was an already a well-established athlete in the world of beach volleyball prior to the pairing. In reality, she was the winner of many major events playing two partners. One that is also a volleyball icon. Her partnership was with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and also as the Klineman's assistant and Kessy's coach. Along together with Kessy, Ross won the World Championship in 2009, while racing on the international circuit. They won a Silver Medal during the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. The legendary Misty Maytreanor team together with Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. In 2016, the pair received bronze medals in the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. In high school and the years before she hit the sand in her professional career, Ross balled out for the USC Trojans as university. Her experience at USC was impressive. She was an All-American as well as Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in the year 2000. In 2000, her Trojans also reached the Final Four. In her sophomore year, she experienced a devastating personal loss, yet she managed to win an All-American. Through her final two years with the Trojans the team, she played a key role in helping achieve consecutive championships. She was a great athlete, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female college volleyball player. Ross was a major in international relations at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the chance to watch Ross' daughter blossom into famous in beach volleyball. In 2001 when Ross was a sophomore on the campus of USC her mother passed away from breast cancer. She holds her mom close to her heart. Margie has always been a source of inspiration for her, both at and off the beaches.
