Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946 into a very poor family with 12 kids later on, realized early that she could escape suffering through her vivid imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she could read and write. Her first guitar purchase came when she was 8 and began singing on a Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. Gold Band Records is a small label that is independent. While still in highschool she established herself locally but dreamed about an even bigger stage. The year 1964 was the day that followed her graduation from high school, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) and Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for his syndicated television show. Parton was hired in 1966. She then was signed to RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. The show was cancelled by Wagoner, however, in 1974 because her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. Parton, after the split of their relationship with Wagoner she wrote the song"I Will Never Love You and saw it climb to the top spot at No. The song of Parton in 1974."I Will Never Love You reached No.
