Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian and television host best known as the presenter for The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime television. She was born and raised within Little Rock. Sheryl was raised in an extremely difficult household. Sheryl spent most of her life helping her younger sister Frankie with polio. As a teenager, she experienced many issues with her mom. Sheryl says that at one point her mother cut her dad because he got too close. Sheryl, after graduating college and joining the army, was an active participant in. Her passion was comedy. She became the very first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. She started her TV professional career in 1992 after she appeared as a frequent actor for the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. She also appeared in 2000 as a host on the TV talk show Oh Drama! She has appeared as host of The Talk since 2011. She has also appeared in a variety of fictional characters on series like Bulworth Nikki and Beauty Shop.
